I always buy rubber hex dumbbells they have steel handles, two things I don’t like in them (1) rubber smell, and (2) the handles are smaller than I would like for a better grip. These neoprene are low cost because they do not rotate on the ground because they have straight edges (like hex rubber style), and they have great grip.
